The exceptional strength of the fluorine-carbon bond in PVDF provides outstanding resistance to solar radiation, chemicals, and pollution, effectively resisting coating degradation caused by solar oxidation. While PVDF coatings may come at a higher cost compared to systems like polyester (PE) or silicone modified polyester (SMP), their near-maintenance-free characteristics and long service life make them the preferred choice for landmark buildings in highly corrosive or high-salt areas.
